We always love to buy new yarn to start a new project that leads to a lot of left over stash after the project is done. The leftover yarn can be from different brands and different types of yarn but similar yarn size.

There are some crochet projects that are popular and perfect for leftover yarn. I am talking about Granny Square pattern that can be various in their design and shape.

The easiest is a granny square of different colors as that way you can use more colors and even yarn of small quantity.

I am showing you the pattern of the easiest granny square design. For this pattern we are just using double crochet.

Granny Squares can be used for making blankets cardigans, bags and anything you have in mind. You can crochet one big granny square or multiple of small ones.
