This too shall pass

This is why Spring is my favourite season of the four.

Imagine this; four thousand years ago, when most people lived and died within a few miles of where they were born, there lived a man on the piece of land now known as Ecuador in South America. This place is bang on the equator - hence its name.

This man, by virtue of where he was born, and lived for the past 25 years or so, say, has never experienced the four seasons of the outer temperate parts of the earth.

One day he finds himself somehow transported to the part of the world currently known as Sweden. He arrives there in summer time, so he doesn't originally notice that much of a difference. There are forests and the sun is out. The trees look a little different - sort of less bulky, but taller. That very evening he notices something strange. He has been awake for an entire day, and is now tired and sleepy, but the sun doesn't appear to be setting.

He falls asleep with the sun still up, however is awakened in the middle of the night by the need to pee. He notices that yes, in fact the sun had set, but the skies where still somewhat illuminated as though it was dawn. Meanwhile his number 1 becomes a number 2. By the time he got up to head back to sleep, he notices the sun had started to rise! What sorcery is this?

By late summer, early autumn, things start to become more familiar for him. The sun was behaving itself - setting at the normal time and staying set for an entire night. Great, but, wait. He notices that all the leaves had started to turn a funny colour. Weeks later the leaves had dried up completely and fallen off the trees - with the exception of the narrow trees with the spiky leaves. Very odd indeed. The temperature has plummeted and the earth seems to be dying. Many of the larger animals - especially the bears - are nowhere to be seen. Has the cold plague got to them too?!

Weeks later, the cold plague is in full swing. The earth is covered in white powder and everything is cold and dead. The trees are dead. The plants are all dead. The grasslands have been suffocated under the white blanket of the plague. And even more shockingly, the sun itself, appears to be dying - showing it's face for only 2-3 hours a day, if that. It's the end of the world!!!!

[He gives up, stops making fire and succumbs to the conditions, and dies.]

On the day after his death, a woman - a local of that land - fires up her logs and heats up her habitat. She is excited. She has spotted a Cherry Blossom in the distance. So even though everything else is still dead, the first signs of the rebirth has emerged. She knows what was to follow; longer days, warmer days, new life and summer! She knows this because for the 25 years she'd been alive, it'd happened like that every year.

What an interesting story, I did not know it, even it can happen to me since I am from South America and if I get to go to Sweden the same thing will happen hahaha.

Bro I love your photos, they have a minimalist and unique style.

Hahahaha. I guess so :)

Huhh!! Interesting piece to encourage us to hodler. Am adversifying my portfolio, not just in cryptos alone and so it is easy for me to hodler as long as possible until Sun shines on the crypto market.

Things will get better. The sun will shine after the rain :)

Great copy and photography as always. Encouragement for everyone.

cheers
