A Pleasant Gift In The Mail...

I just received this lovely gift from the crew at Holo.

It’s been over 12 months since I contributed to the crowd funding campaign, and I’m still waiting to receive my Holoport.

I’m not concerned however, as the Holo folk have been keeping everyone updated as to the progress of everything, both in emails received as well as being published publicly on their Medium Blog.

This is what transparency and integrity look like, IMHO. They have been meticulous with their planning, and keeping everyone informed as to where they’re at. And they have continued to steadily, steadily keep going on the project throughout the 2018 crypto-bear market; no one has lost their enthusiasm, especially not investors.

It’s a different approach to the one normally found in business where the ethos is get it out as quickly as possible and fix mistakes later.

This is a fine example of s-l-o-o-o-w business — where the emphasis is in taking pride in the finished product, but getting everyone to be part of the process.

There is definitely a change happening in our civilisation, and the reactionism that’s currently occurring is the final death throes of an old, obsolete paradigm.

I’m quietly excited about this project and very glad to be a part of it. Because I think this project will make a difference.

This is the same reason I continue with Steem, and not buying into the FUD and conspiracy theories of many others. Although I do think Steemit Inc. could certainly learn a thing or two about communication from Holo. But then again, Holo has always been technology built on a grand philosophical idea, where the ideas have been discussed and debated and explored and then the technological framework being built to embody and materialise this philosophical framework.

It’s actually a very Zen-Taoist approach, and exemplified by the 太极图 tàijítú, the familiar yīnyàng diagram ☯️.

Yàng is immaterial, it is the potential that exists, the ideas and thoughts, swirling through the ether. Its dynamism is ineffective unless it can be made manifest, which is precisely what Yīn does.

At the same time, Yīn is real, it is material and manifest and solid. But without the dynamism of Yàng it is a completely stagnant, useless lump of matter.

They are completely interdependent and mutually benefit each other. One cannot ‘exist’ without the other. It’s like saying there is a coin only with a head and no tail. It’s impossible, even if we can talk about it!

The Holoports are almost complete and I should be receiving mine soon... and then I will be help co-create this very new frontier. I can’t wait!!!
