My Avocado Tree

Fresh pick ripe avocado, just like most other fruits, always tastes better!

This variety, when ripe, would change skin color from green to black. As you can see from the photo, it is smaller in size compared to what can be found in stores. However, unlike other varieties in the store, the skin is so thin and smooth just like silk that it is even enjoyable to eat.

There was no irrigation for this avocado tree at all during the dry season here in the subtropical climate this past year. Yet, it is still prolific in fruit-bearing this season. Why? Thanks to permaculture practices of swale and chop-and-drop, which do help retain moisture for the tree!
