Making maple syrup - recipe , not from the scratch
Hello steemit i know people from Canada know about maple syrup, but from all other world people are clueless, so today i will give you recipe how to make it . P.S i will not take maple extract from the tree, but you can do it.
Ingredients:
Granulated Sugar – 4 Cups
Brown Sugar – ½ Cup
Honey – ¼ Cup
Maple Extract – 2 Teaspoons
Vanilla Essence – 1 Teaspoon
Water – 2 Cups
Guide:
Take water in a mixing bowl and add granulated sugar, brown sugar and honey
to it.Put the mixture in a pan and bring it to boil. Keep on mixing the contents
continuously.As it comes to boil, cover the pan and reduce the flame to let it simmer for about
12-15 minutes.Remove the pan from heat and let it cool for about 20 minutes and then add
maple extract and vanilla essence.Let the mixture further cool for another 30 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
Once cool, fill the syrup in a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
OK yes this is another way to make it. Good for you that you enjoy it enough to make it. LOL I am Canadian and your right, something about not going into the bush to grab the pail off of the Maple Tree and dragging it back to the vat to boil it off for hours upon hours, and then testing it by drizzling it in the snow to make like a taffy candy, hope you get to one day visit my country but come in mid march when the sap is running, so that you can too enjoy and experience the whole sugar shack thing we do.
