Planting potatoes in Arkansas rock.

Early this morning I found Grandma in the backyard digging holes to start planting this years potatoes. We are a little late this year at getting are garden tilled and planted due to the fact that it was almost impossible to till the backyard from all the rocks. Trying to till through all the rocks damaged the tiller and it needed to be fixed before we could finish tilling. Grandma says this is what it is like planting potatoes in Arkansas rock.

A few days before Grandma roped off the columns marking the rows where she would be planting. She made six rows and put them in one by one about a foot apart from each other.

This is how big the yard is. We still got a whole lot more planting that needs to be done. The tiller is underneath that green tarp in the back by the fence.

Hopefully by the end of the summer we should have plenty of potatoes. Soon Grandma will be planting tomatoes in the other half of the garden.
