Seed Saving for Self-Sufficiency

Do you grow a garden and save the seeds from the food you grow? This is something we've started doing. Many plants are very easy to save seed from. Lettuce is one of them. In this video, we talk about how to save lettuce seed.

Saving seed is one of the ways we are becoming more self-sufficient. When you save seeds from plants in your garden you get two things: the food you grow AND seed you can use to grow it next season. This means that not only do you avoid buying your food from the store, but you don't have to buy seeds from the store either.
