Jet Ski Repair of Damaged Fiberglass

Here is a quick and easy way to repair damaged fiberglass.

I often work on rental boats and skies that need to be operational all the time so quick repairs are a must.

Damaged Ski

Grind and bevel the cracks

Pull in and support damaged area

Add some fiberglass and epoxy

Remove the brace

2 hrs total labor...2 days to complete (wait time for epoxy cure)

Did you reach inside and place a knot on the other side of the screw? how was it holding the fiberglass piece?

I could not access the other side, so I drilled an oversized hole in the middle of wood brace.
Then used a screw to tighten (bring up and hold flush) the loose fiberglass.
Just the screw threads were enough to hold it temporarily.
