Harvesting Onion Seeds

You can harvest the seeds from an onion plant after the thin paper covering of the flower pods has popped open and the tiny white flowers have started to dry out and turn brown. Interestingly, this is also when the flower stalks start to die and fall over, which is also when you can harvest the onions out of the roots in the soil.
