Here we go

Resteem
The sharing of content you find interesting to all your followers .similar to the retweet button you use on twitter or like the share button used in facebook. The Steemit resteem button looks like this.

If you haven't seen it yet you might consider to press the F5 button on your keyboard so it gets the browser to get it to show up. For more detailed information about Resteem,I advice you to click this link

Permissions
A Steemit Account can posses 5 unique passwords generated that are most often referred to as ''Permission Keys''. On a normal Steemit account you will have access to 4 of them. But the witnesskey is only used by Steem Witnesses and are of no use for a typical Steemit user.
Each account will have a unique set of 4 Permission Keys
1.Posting key
2.Active key
3.Owner key
4.Memo key
These keys get generated as soon as you sign up for a Steemit Account. That makes each set of keys unique from all the others. For more about this subject you can go to this link

Discord
Discord is a chat service that allows people to create there own specific channels or room. Each room can be on another subject, so it's easier to find the content you may have been looking for.
To learn more about discord you can read this link. Most of the steemians I mention on the bottom also have a discord channel. To get acces to most of them I advice you to read on their posts. They usually have invite links to their discord channel. The advantage you have with that can be very great. As most of these channels also have a post-promotion section. Where you link a post you wished to be upvoted or get more attention. Here's a link to the discord download app. Where you can download and sign in for an account.

Contests
Contest are just like the names says it Competions on Steemit where you can win different awards. An easy way to find new contests is at #contest category. Here is just 1 link of many others with a list of most of the biggest contests.

Feed
The Feed feature on the steemit platform is like the basic equivalent to the news feed on Facebook or that onTwitter. In reality, it is closer in nature to a blog roll similar like Blogger.
What who shows up here is allup to you. In the steemit community, following someone is the same as friending someone on Facebook. For more information on how to use this feature you can read up here

Flag
Flag literraly means: "to mark an object to indicate that a particular event has occurred or that the object that is marked is unusual in some way."
The Steemitinterface warns steemians that flagging a post can remove rewards and make the material that is posted less visible. Here is a link with the official description at steem center website.

Hyperlink
Trough all of my post I have put hyperlinks that connect you to the place the link refers too. A very easy tutorial on how to make a hyperlink you can click here.

Thumbnail
Thumbnail in my opinion some kinda cover you make just like a cd cover illustrating members or a title. Or just simply a screenshot photo of a video.
Have you noticed bloggers use some kind of a thumbnail on their blog? Here is a interesting linkhow to create a thumbnail for your Steemit blog posts

Witness
image
~Source
The term Witness is to be associated with the so called Steem blockchain. The Steem blockchain requires a number or group of people to create blocks and uses a consensus mechanism called DPOS (Delegated Proof of Stake)
Proof of Stake is not about mining. It's all about validating. In effect blocks still need to be created by someone else, and who gets to create a block depends on the specific Proof of Work algorithm.
Any person who is willing to contribute to the Steem Blockchain may become a Witness. However it is so that they must be elected by the Steemit Community. The people delegated to create these blocks are refered to as witnesses.
Here are 2 links link1 link2with a more detailed description.
