HPB – the next generation blockchain
Blockchain is a potentially groundbreaking innovation in how data is created, shared, and edited. Through an immutable ledger and consensus algorithms that ensure the integrity of the blockchain, it is possible to create a “trustless” type of information; a type that is truly decentralized and transparent.
Currently, blockchain is mostly used as a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency. However, it has other numerous potential applications in several industries such as financial instruments, energy and resource management, social networking, big data and IoT applications, governance protocols, advertising, and marketing. honestly speaking blockchain technology is literally changing the way we created, share and store data.
The major reasons why blockchain is used include the following Decentralization, User-controlled networks, Reduced transaction costs, security of data, the integrity of data and lot more. But the current blockchain posses several problems such as low TPS Performance, Poor Security, High Transaction Fees, Difficulty in Developing
DAPPs.
If we are going to achieve the full power of blockchain most of this problem has to be solved. Recently I can across a project that is going to create the next-gen blockchain which is free from the problem facing our current blockchain. its called High-performance blockchain (HPB for short).
HPB is a new blockchain architecture, positioned as an easy-to-use, high-performance blockchain platform. It aims to extend the performance of distributed applications to meet real-world business needs.
HPB wants to solve the problem of scaling and meet true business needs by creating a platform designed to handle millions of transactions per second. It will consist of both hardware and software architecture, placing it ahead of current platforms which seek to solve the same problem through software-only solutions.
With a target of 1 million TPS and a 3-second confirmation time, HPB aims to become the standard for all major business applications in industries that require handling of billions of data points with extremely low latency.
here are some of the technology HPB wants to use for creating a high-performance block or what I prefer to call the next generation blockchain.
Blockchain Offload Engine (BOE). The BOE is a heterogeneous processing system, including hardware, firmware, and corresponding matching software. To achieve high performance and high concurrency computing acceleration, BOE combines CPU serial capabilities and parallel processing capabilities of FPGA/ASIC chips.
For security considerations, every transaction and block broadcast in the network requires a signing and verification process. ECDSA, the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm, is currently the most mature and widely used digital signature algorithm in the industry.
When data transmission is performed between nodes, an encrypted channel needs to be established through a key exchange. To make the key exchange random number completely unpredictable, a hardware random number generator is employed to protect the reliability of the encrypted channel.

Far too many payment blockchain projects currently, and they almost seem to run on same speed, HBP is going to be the very improvement we may be looking out for
Without doubts, It's looking it already. They just need to stay focused and stay within plans on their road map.
Yep it will be what really sets them apart a jump from 10's to hundreds to millions of TPS is going to be a huge step in forward for smart contract projects
Yeah... Hpb came out with something different. I don't know why other products were always coming with same blockchain problems.
That's true, they already released their own hardware source just a matter of time now.
They will integrating both hardware and software to achieve high-performance blockchain. I hope this will increase the TPS by multiple times
If they can achieve a real time performance it would be a huge plus over most blockchains. I mean there were many incidents where the blockchain was really congested and transactions were not going through.
So BOE hardware acceleration is aimed precisely at the solution of this problem. Seemed some kind of fantastic fiction recently but look, here are the flow chart of this hardware item and everybody have already been able to see alive it recently.
Being able to accelerate and be able to offer TPS that really can handle to dapps stress that will be coming along soon in the future.
I have seen few project trying to create a platform which will increase the TPS, but here I think HPB team is way ahead of them now after BOE release.
Yeah, the MOAC concept is too cool not to make this happen this time. Let's wish them luck with solving such a noble task.
Those are really horrible blockchain experiences.. There are sometimes that your transactions are even lost.
It is true mainly because of the confirmation times. I lost count of the times I had to resend a transaction with low gwei.
I know, either we have to pay higher fees or If you dont want pay high fees then we need wait for days sometimes
If they can deliver what they say with their TPS, they have the scalability and performance levels the Blockchain has needed.

The BOE Accelerator is an impressive piece of technology. I am very stunned.

haha lucky man! If they can get even 100,000 TPS on their testnet as a proof of concept, i think they'll do awesome.
I seen some unbelievable things are in HPB project. Like 1M TPS and confirmation within second.
Their hardware/software integration will provide their network with speeds of 1 million TPS, sounds pretty good to me!
We wait to see such movement happening for sure, it would change the way crypto and blockchain is viewed for good

Yes, 1 million TPS is very big target and at this movement hard to believe.

Having a platform that can take millions of transactions in a second will be really ground breaking I hope they successfully implement this.
That's crazy, you're talking like visa kind of levels right there. Put it this way, it would of ate cryptokitties for breakfast and spat it back out
Transaction issues has always been a problem in the blockchain industry, having a platform that can really deal with the issue is something that i will love to see
