On Trump, Assange, internet censorship and other issues
Just came across the following two videos.
Trumps Response to the Assange Arrest Dismays but Doesn't Surprise Me
Youtube link
Dave Cullen, 12 April 2019
What Warwick and Cullen have in common is their strong support for Trump. But now past tense may perhaps be more appropriate to this sentiment of theirs - and this is a good thing as both are liberty advocates and Trump's behaviour smacks of outright support of Assange's prosecution and this is quite antithetical to the notion of liberty and freedom of expression. As I already mentioned, this affair is a momentous event for the freedom of speech worldwide.
The struggle for our freedoms is mostly happening online, via technology. No, not all is lost - but those opposed to truly free expression, mostly large corporate powers, globalist groups of various kinds as well as governmental powers, seem to be ratcheting up their participation. And those who choose to ignore that are doing so at their own peril.
Great videos, Boris and you're right, Trump's reaction to the situation with Assange is not very clear!
Thanks.
I'd say at this point it is quite clear that Trump is doing little, if anything at all, to defend Assange.
You are right, I meant that when Trump conducted the election campaign, he supported Assange, but now Trump declares that he does not understand what it is about!
