HURRICANE LANE makes its way to Hawaii as a Category 5 storm

Hawaii prepares for a Category 5 storm

So I'm here on Big Island Hawaii. You can see my last post about all the natural disasters we have been through in the last three months.

I've been watching this one closely, it seems like we may not be affected by this storm much here on Volcano side of Big Island, but the GFS model shows this storm plowing into Maui.

It is now 9:30am, Wednesday morning. Everything is very still outside. No wind, no tree movement. Will keep you updated as the hurricane progresses. This morning update, civil defense said it was a category 5 storm. Hopefully internet doesn't cut out so I can keep ya updated!
