Food donations found rotting in Puerto Rico parking lot.
It's amusing to listen to progressives complain about how the federal government has failed Puerto Rico (and it has) while simultaneously arguing for a whole variety of policies, including those associated with democratic socialism, that would give the federal government much more responsibility and many more resources.
If government can't do the relatively simple job of getting food or electrical power to the residents of Puerto Rico, why should we ever expect it to run a health care system or make good decisions about how to invest "social resources" for 330 million people?
This isn't a failure due to incompetence or malevolence. It is STRUCTURAL, and there's a long literature in political economy that explains the reasons.
It's going to be pretty gross after 11 months. Let's hope there was some canned food that could be salvaged. You love to talk about the failures of Government.
I am your first comment for this post. So quiet around here. Don't be disheartened, I'm sure things things will pick eventually. Steem needs to bottom out first. I'm guessing the bottom will be about $0.2. That will get rid of the scammers. Take care.
