Quarkchain Blockchain 3.0– Rewrite the blockchain gameplan

As you probably also have noticed about Quarkchain ICO ( code: QRK) recently as a great hype ICO as well as the promise of 1 million transactions per second (TPS) in the future throught their sharding technology named Quarkchain Network. That’s what has driven my attention to this project, but then I realized that’s not all about it, their mission is even more ambitious, and if it works, there will be a new gameplan for the blockchain.

A new architecture for blockchain – Quarkchain network

QuarkChain Network is a system that perfoms high-capacity peer-to-peer transactions, with more of decentralization and security which are the goals they are aiming to achieve. And the system is being built based on sharding technology that a blockchain is splitted up into root blokchain (root chain) and elastic independent sharding blockchains ( shards ). This makes sure QuarChain Network is able to make a decent amount of TPS with greater security that I would like to share more about it below.

Scalibility with sharding technology

QuarkChain is built to improve 3 pillars of blockchain which are scalibility, security and decentralization. Most of existing blockchain-based projects are trying to figure the solutions to scale their abilities on blockchain, it might work but it will take years to accomplish. QuarkChain’s sharding technology that is being built at the very beginning of the system will possibly solve this problem easily.
As I mentioned above, there are root chain and shards in this system with seperated duties. Shards (multi- independent-blockchains) work as ledgers that gather and record transactions, and root chain has two great missions are to confirm and secure transactions. QuarkChain Network stated that they can do 1 million TPS, and currently in the lastest test-net trial run, the progress showed that the system perfom more than 2200 tx/s which is already a lot faster than Bitcoin and Ethereum’s blockchain.

And another great feature of the system is, the QuarkChain Network can perfom both in-shard transactions and cross-shard transactions perfomed in minutes. Which means existing Dapps running in Ethereum Vituarl Machine seeking scalibility solutions can be compatible with the QuarkChain Network, that’s why those layers are called elastic sharding blockchains. This probably open a new door for blockchains to communicate to each other too.

Increase Safety with multi-blockchain

Sharding technology from QuarkChain Network helps to increase a great transactional speed on blockchain, and at the same time provide highly secured transactions. Because there are rootchain and shards, and the root chain has 50% hash power,and normally attackers want to perfom a double spend-attack requires minimum of 25% hash power to interfere a transaction. This doesn’t mean to be impossible but much harder to do it.

Business opportunities with QuarkChain

With highly experienced team in various industries from blockchain, cyber security, finance, the QuarkChain Network will be well built with the revolutionary sharding technology . The system in the future can be easily applied to different type of businesses, from sharing economy, supporting mobile Dapps (Dapps2go), scale social networks, online storage, gaming platforms.A system with high security can support well real businesses that require identity authentication or anti-counterfeit technology.
