Privacy Coin on the Verge of losing 1 Billion

Rumours circulated  1 billion XVG (or about 6% of the total supply) were stolen by hackers when the cryptocurrency Verge had their Twitter account hacked and its developer’s private details shared.

The hacker then bragged about the feat to the account’s 265,000 followers and attempted to scam them out of verge (XVG) cryptocurrency. The price of XVG had dipped in value, and it remains 5% lower against BTC today. Full story: –  Privacy Coin Twitter hacked and Developer Doxed 

This story is a stark reminder of the perils of the online crypto world and also the perils of Twitter. Recently many people including Elon Musk, have been the target of Twitter scams.

 Consistent false reports on Twitter prompted Elon Musk to reveal his Bitcoin stash.
