NORDCOIN: scalable and efficient mining platform

It's no hidden fact that popularity of Blockchain technology has gone through roof in recent years. Thanks to Bitcoin and Ethereum which were the prime reason for this sharp increase. But, why are people in so much love with the Blockchain and cryptocurrencies? It's not like that everyone has the in-depth knowledge of Blockchain. So, I organized a small survey in my local area to get to know why people love this technology and what attracts them the most.

I was not surprised by the overall result of the survey. Most of the people love Blockchain technology as they can earn money from thin air by mining. This is what makes cryptocurrency different from fiat money. You can't print a 100 dollars note at your home and buys things from that. You can go to prison if you do that!! But, that's not the case with cryptocurrencies. With the proper software, you can create tokens and later convert them at any exchange platform. But, the mining process is not as easy as it sounds. Actually, it very tough to mine token using traditional computers. This is why people have started using various remote mining pools who will mine tokens on your behalf (with small fees).

One such company is NORDCOIN. NORDCOIN promises to offer mobile mining services that too at very low cost. So, I decided to dig deeper into the platform and get to know about their services.

NORDCOIN is not a new name in the field on the crypto mining industry. They are known for mobile mining services but now they want to enhance their services. They plan to organize ICO to raise funds to develop 30 more units. This will help NORDCOIN recreate the same success (what they had for the first four units) but at a larger scale.

Mobile Mining Containers allows miners to focus on mining activities and not to worry about other factors like cost of energy and space. The containers cover about 40 feet of space and can be transported to any part of the world.

Basically, these containers act as data centers. NORDCOIN designed a prototype using an initial investment of $430,000 USD with the hashing rate of 53 GH/s. If NORDCOIN can raise the fund through ICO then plan to build 30 more MMCs. They already have a contract in place with Viru Keemia Group (for electricity supply).

ICO and Team

Nordcoin uses ERC20 token which is created on Ethereum blockchain. The company has released 10.96 million NRDC tokens for sale. NORDCOIN will organize an ICO sale from 16th July 2018 and it will run for a month. The tokens will be sold at a rate of 1 NRDC= $1 USD. NORDCOIN will only accept Ether, Bitcoin, and Litecoin as the mode of payment for the exchange of NRDC tokens. However, you need to purchase a minimum of 100 NRDC tokens.

Conclusion

NORDCOIN will build more MMCs before the start of mining process (by October 2018). They will launch the full-fledged NORDCOIN mining platform by the end of this year. They have also promised that they will develop a few mining software which will help miners enhance their productivity. One of the board members, Hermes Brambat said," We are planning to create a solution which will improve the profitability of miners. The mobile mining containers technology is a new step in the field of blockchain technology which will change the cryptocurrency economy.

NORDCOIN does offer various exciting services but the big question is that whether it is a right choice for investment or not? Well, there are various companies out there who are also promising to provide unique mining software. It's only after the proper functioning of the platform we can conclude whether NORDCOIN is an improvement over the others or not. One thing which I liked about the platform is its social media presence. After going through the company's profile, I found that their revenue model is near to perfect. They also have a right team to take this project forward but the success will depend on how will they keep improving the technology even more.
