SPOKKZ: fund what you want to see

Entertainment industry is one of the biggest industries around the world. America has Hollywood, India has Bollywood and all other countries have their own entertainment industry. But it is not just America that watches Hollywood movies, people all around the globe watch Hollywood movies and content through one or the other medium. Same goes for all other entertainment industries around the world. I was not surprised to know that the global entertainment industry collected just over 2 trillion dollars in 2017.

I have seen the entertainment industry rise and now it is bigger and diverse than ever. What bugs me the most is the style and way of funding and content creation? Viewer's feedback is very important for Youtubers and content creators on YouTube sometimes ask for content advice from their audience. In turn for this advice and feedback, the viewers get absolutely nothing.

Platforms like YouTube, Netflix and cinema chains take a huge part of the revenue from the content creators. Content creators after furnishing a script need to present it to the producers and the creators are not sure whether or not their content will go live. This is just inconvenient for everyone involved in the circle.

SPOKKZ PLATFORM

Spokkz allows content creators to interact with their fans directly. So content producers who want to create a project, can go to the Spokkz community and say that this is a project or movie that I want to create, will you be interested in funding it and fans can then decide what movies they want to fund and in doing so, creators can get in touch with the fans easily. Fans get the opportunity to choose the bests content that is interesting for them. The hope is that in the long run, this means that it is lower cost for fans to watch content.

Spokkz is not like its competitors. Unlike competitors, Spokkz is built on Spuul who already has over 60 million users today. These 60 million users will be using the Spokkz token to watch content, to fund content and be rewarded for writing reviews etc. So unlike the other competitors who don't have a community, who don't even have a product, Spokkz already has a very large community that it can use to build a vibrant ecosystem.

Content owners and producers can work with Spokkz ecosystem directly by interacting with the fans who are already on the ecosystem. So this enables the fans to decide what content they want to watch and what to fund and content producers can go to these fans as a ready pool of customers who can watch the content. Fans of the spokkz ecosystem can use earn tokens initially by watching movies, by reviewing content, by sharing movies and introducing it to friends. Once they have earned these tokens, these tokens can then be used to buy products on e-commerce. This will create a vibrant ecosystem where people are trading tokens in exchange of products.

ICO AND TEAM

They plan to raise 12,000,000 USD by issuing the SPKZ token. SPKZ token is an ERC20 token on the ethereum network. 300,000,000 SPKZ tokens will be up for sale during ICO and the price of 1 SPKZ token is 0.08 USD.

The core team is big and experienced. I find the advisory board smart and competent enough to guide the core team to a successful ICO. The only thing that I feel lacks is the absence of an experienced blockchain and fundraising experts. Apart from that, the team is pretty solid.

CONCLUSION

Spokkz will create a decentralized ecosystem and marketplace for premium media content at affordable prices. Spokkz transforms fans into critics. The vision is good but the idea is not new and there is a lot of competition. The good news is that they already have a working product and a community to go with it. The project is blessed with a wonderful core team and advisors. Personally speaking, this project excites me and I can certainly see a good return on investment from this project.
