Una - Cryptocurrency for Africa (ICO)

Well, this is quite an interesting one.

I recently came across Una, which is a project which aims to create a cryptocurrency specifically for Africa and its people.

Project Potential

I do realize that there is a strong need for something like this, and can see that the project might have some sort of success in the future.

I do believe that Bitcoin will remain the standard when it comes to Digital Currency, but what I like about this project, is the fact that their Coin is linked to the GDP of Africa. This means that it will be less volatile, and that supply will adjust accordingly.

Bitcoin specifically has many use cases, but in its current form, it is quite volatile.. Which poses a threat to individuals using the currency as a means to store value.

There is definitely room for Cryptocurrencies that is linked to specific regions / countries, and that is specific to the needs of the people from those regions / countries.

Conclusion

I will be keeping a close eye on this project to see how it progresses. It will be interesting to see if the team can make it a success.
