Loopholes and Letdowns...

A few things came to light yesterday that I think we are all better off knowing about. First of all, did you know that any UK citizen, who is a foreign national, is immune to prosecution if the crime they commit is not an offense in their country of origin? Well, it seems that many paedophiles know this all to well and while you'll be forgiven for thinking that every country has laws against all forms of child sexual abuse, you would actually be wrong. You see, in some countries, while they may have legislation about, lets say, having a laptop brimming with child porn, that legislation means Jack-shit! This is simply because the countries who are still making their minds up, about whether their tourist trade and Peedo safe-havens would be harmed, have not yet ratified such legislation into their law books...

Astonishing, you might think. But just like developed countries like to dump their waste in 3rd-world countries, why should this be any different? Yes, we may get the odd nonse flying over to Britain, in full knowledge he can get away with lesser crimes, but the majority of child molesters are going to set up camp in these liberal countries where they can seemingly do as they please. As was stated yesterday, these vile people have their own network and stay in touch with one another, just so they can keep ahead of the latest loophole or be made aware of one that is soon to be tightened.

One possible deterrent would be to have UK officers stationed over in places like Cambodia and Thailand, but even this is too much for the UK's government to achieve.... 1, YES JUST 1 officer of the law is stationed out in these parts and this waste of effort has the job of covering most of the Asian continent. Seems to me, and many of the witnesses from yesterday's hearing, as though the UK is just paying lip-service to challenging this disease. I'm for sure this is true, because another useful way to prevent child abusers hopping around would be to take away their right to travel and monitoring their movements. But, yet again, this too is too much to ask of the Crown's minions. It's not that we don't have the power to do this, as we most certainly can. It's just simply that our agencies don't bother to place such restrictions upon those who prey on children. Judges up and down the country are not only handing out lenient sentences, but they're not even bothering to make sure they stay in the UK to be monitored. But, as I said earlier, why not just allow the problem to fly away onto someone elses doorstep, that seems a much better solution for the authorities of Great Britain.

It was shocking, although not surprising, to hear an official from countries, such as the US and Australia, talk at length about how useless the UK is when it comes to tracking down and convicting its own paedophiles. This is most likely because it isn't just a random group of devious misfits that are traveling the world to systematically abuse children. No, more likely is the case that it is people of "good stock" that are committing these heinous crimes. And if the UK were to really tackle this issue, then that would mean they'd have to follow the trail back to Westminster.

I guess we'll find out if my theory holds any weight when this inquiry turns the spotlight directly onto those hollowed chambers in March...

For now though, I will leave you with today's Live Stream, where we will no doubt hear more disgraceful evidence about how those in power just sit idly behind their fortunes while children all over the world are abused.
