I Love Nature Photo Challenge (Water) - Autumn by Duddingston Loch
This is my third contribution to the photo challenge #Ilovenature hosted by @starjewel on Whaleshares - today's theme is water.
I took this photo of Duddingston Loch during a Sunday wander with my wife last November. Arthur’s seat is an incredible geological site created by an extinct volcano system that was later shaped by glaciers. It is my favourite walk in Edinburgh and provides a bird’s eye view of one of Europe’s greenest cities.
My wife is afraid of heights, so Queens Road (where I took this photo) is a much safer option, as it sits approximately halfway up the side of the 822ft Arthur’s seat. It offers great views of Duddingston Village, the North Sea, Fife and beyond.

Thanks Gillian, I really love this part of the city. The weather has been terrible recently, very windy and wet!
We've had gorgeous weather here. People have even returned to the beach and been swimming again.
however, this morning it is grey and windy and it rained last night.
At least it won't be unbearably hot when/if I go up into the attic. 😊
