India: Binance's Teddy Lin Gets Interviewed About Their Plans For India!

in #india6 years ago

Last weekend saw Indian city of Hyderabad host the International Blockchain Congress on 3rd and 4th of August. The event saw many key industry people attend it including Teddy Lin. He is the Head of International Markets at Binance. You can watch the interview below.

Binance currently plans on organising meetups and educating potential customers on the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency in addition to use of their exchange. Educating users seems to be their priority although I'm sure how they plan on going about it all.

Kashif Raza, co-founder of Crypto Kanoon interviewed Teddy Lin. I recommend watching the whole video if you are from India.

Crypto Kanoon is a collective group of individuals that serves as platform for regulatory news & analysis, blockchain events and startup advisory in India.

I would love to see Binance setup a secret office India. Secret because Binance office locations are kept a secret. Interesting isn't it?

I wish RBI didn't impose ban on crypto conversions to cash

RBI hasn't done anything like that. They have simply instructed banks licensed by them to not provide banking services to crypto businesses that's all. You can trade via p2p channels just don't mention cryptos in the transfer memos to play safe. :)

Damn I didn't know that. I had some investments in Bitcoin thru zebpay I pulled all of it out.
So that means I can still invest it there all safe without being worried of how to withdraw it?

Many people in India had done the same thing- Panic selling!
Yes, you can still invest in crypto. New online p2p crypto exchanges have come up now where you can trade your cryptos directly with other people. Try wazirx or giouttus they are good.

Thanks I searched about wazirx, looks promising

@anupyadav Yes that's correct. You panic sold unfortunately. I've been posting facts around this situation as it developed for months now.

Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the full picture.never too late

Seriously I have a lot to learn from you 🙂

In India everything should be kept as secret if not politicians will take over it

The supreme court of India has at present backed the ban of RBI prohibiting banks, financial institutions and other regulated institutions from providing any support to virtual currencies. The final hearing of the fate of cryptocurrencies in India has now been postponed to September 11th

Interesting,,,, They also launched a plan, blockchain district, in Hyderabad.

Last week was really good for Indian Crypto lovers. And I think Telangana government is taking step up to expand Block chain in India on the other hand Central government is not supporting.
Yet we all have hope that Central government will decide soon about acceptance of legit Cryptoes like Bitcoin and also take a step to reduce scams in India...
