One of the 5 sea bridges in India.
Built in 1914 and at 2km long, it was the longest in the country until the Bandra-Worli Sea link was built in 2010.

The bridge connects the Indian mainland to Pamban island and Rameswaram. In the morning, we reached the island through the train and in the evening, we watched the train return to the mainland from the road bridge.

Despite being born in Tamil Nadu, I've never been to this part of the state. I must say that being on a train and watching the water beneath your feet comes with a child-like thrill that's inexplicable.

I was actually thinking of your artwork when I was in Rameswaram. The temple setting, the remnants of an old village like atmosphere had the colour of your work! Have you ever been?

I haven't been there - will add it to the list of places to see.

This has been on my wishlist for some time now. And all my motorcyclists friends in the south keep sharing pictures from there. It is now a must visit place for any discerning biker!

It's absolutely wonderful. You have to visit!

I am planning a Tour de South (of India) this winter. Hopefully it will work out!

If you can travel the night, it must be like Spirited Away (I love this movie).

I did travel last night to return to Chennai! I don't know the film, though. I'll definitely check it out!

Great anime, I love the work of Miyazaki
