India’s second unmanned mission to the moon, which was halted from launch few days ago due to a technical snag, finally took off on July 22 ; under the maintenance of the Indian Space Research Organization.

The orbiter vehicle for India's first moon lander is named ''Chandrayan 2''

The second moon mission of India will embark on a journey across 3,84,000 km in 52 days and the spacecraft is expected to land on the moon on September 6.

This is a massive mission of about 140-million dollars ; by completing which, India will become the fourth country after the US, Russia and China to successfully do a soft-landing on the moon.
