To prevent spam from spreading on WhatsApp, WhatsApp is working on a new 'Suspicious Link Detection' feature. According to the information, this feature is currently being tested. With the help of this, users will be able to locate the suspicious links within the Whatsapp app.

This is part of the Whatsapp beta for Android version 2.18.204. However, due to being in the initial level, it has not been made available to all users. This attempt is being done by the Facebook-owned company to stop spam and fake news from spreading on its platform.
