How Indians are different from others.

in #indians6 years ago (edited)

Every citizen of every country is unique and does great things in his own way; however, when it comes to Indians there are certainly different traits that make them unique in that areas. Some of the distinct qualities, which I like, are mentioned below.

Enjoying Every Festival

The most important trait of citizens of India is enjoying being in a diversified country. As we know, India has about 29 states which possess unique qualities of their own. Moreover, it has many distinct religions, which comes with different festivals. People celebrate their festival and share their festival treasures such as food to other people regardless of caste and religion. For example, Muslims, who celebrate Ramadan, gives biryani to their friends irrespective of religion, and Hindus give gifts to another people in order to celebrate their festivals. So, in India, a festival per month is compulsory with a holiday and lavish parties.

Treating Guests as God

In India, people follow a saying “Athidhidevobhava”, which means Guest is God. When a person enters Indian homes as a guest, he will be treated so respectfully with each and everything, right from food to take care of him/her. This does not mean other people do not take care of their guest, but I meant Indians would follow the saying without fail.

Bilinguistics

No matter where you choose a person In India, he/she will be aware of at least two languages, or more than that. As India is a multi-linguistic country, there are plenty of chances that a person can able to speak different languages fluently. For Example, if an average person belongs to Bangalore can speak Kannada, English, Telugu, little Tamil, and of course, Hindi with one foreign language, if he studied at school, such as Spanish, French or Germany.

Sharing is Caring

Indian no matter where they live, treat their neighbours as their family. They even call them using relative names but not with their names. Every Indian call an aged person as uncle/Aunty and every taxi or rickshaw driver as brother in their language. Moreover, if a person living in a house does a new delicious food, then he/she will distribute the food to their neighbours. Sharing is a most common way to show love in India.

Herbs in Food

Many Indians include healthy herbs in their diet, such as turmeric, cinnamon and many. And Indians has ancient healing techniques called Ayurveda, which not only cures the diseases but the entire body is treated with the techniques. They use amla for many diseases and pray for Tulasi that gives healthy environment at home.
