Masjid Al-Akbar, Masjid Terbesar Kedua di Indonesia

Masjid Al-Akbar yang terletakdi Kota Surabaya, Ibukota Jawa Timur ini merupakan salah satu masjid terbesar di Indonesia. Masjid ini bangunannya sangat besar dan memiliki perkarangan yang luas.
Masjid Al Akbar Surabaya memiliki kapasitas atau daya tampung mencapai 59.000 jamaah. Masjid ini memiliki 4 kubah dan salah satu kubahnya yakni kubah luar memiliki tinggi 27 meter serta memiliki 1 menara yang menjualng tinggi.
Masjid Nasional Al-Akbar Surabaya dibangun sejak 4 Agustus 1995. Peresmian pemakaiannya bertepatan dengan Hari Pahlawan, yakni pada 10 November 2000, yang diresmikan Presiden RI KH. Abdurrahman Wahid.
Ini merupakan masjid terbesar dan terluas kedua di Indonesia setelah masjid Istiqal, Jakarta. Bagi steemian yang pernah singgah dan shalat di masjid ini pasti sangat merasakan betapa agung dan megahnya masjid ini.
