Special gift for Indonesia's independence anniversary

The Indonesian national team recorded history by winning the AFF Cup U-16 for the first time. Make special prizes presented by the young Garuda for the anniversary of Indonesia's independence this year.

Indonesia carved out history after defeating Thailand 4-3 (1-1) through competition a penalty at the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium, on Saturday (August 11, 2018).

Substitute Fajar Fathur led the Indonesian national team to lead in the 33rd minute. While Thailand equalized through Apidet Janngam ('72).

On penalties, goalkeeper Ernando Ari later became a hero by defeating the execution of Apidet Janngam and Pongsakorn Innet.

While four Indonesian executors, namely Sutan Zico, Bagus Kahfi, Rendy Juliansyah, and David Maulana were able to carry out their duties.

The best achievement of the Indonesian national team in the previous AFF U-16 Cup was to reach the 2013 tournament finals. While Thailand still had the most title collection with Vietnam with three titles (2007, 2011, 2015).
