Food security system is the international issue that faced by every country since a long time ago. Every country has many different food security system. The one of security system that made by Acehnese ancestor is called “krong Pade “ the rice storage with cylindrical shape made from bamboo plait. The rice storage is placed on the medium stage with pillar. In the past every people has one rice storage in every house as the place for the storage in keeping the food supply for family. The past farming system is has harvesting once in a year this due to farming system that’s have been agreed upon the elder of tribes. This system has advantage in keeping the soil has time to maintain the soil substance.
The rice storage made from bamboo plait material. The bamboo plat is uses to keep the rice dry, this plait is has a gap so that there is air flow inside the rice storage. In “kroeng Padee” the temperature is control by the air flow that’s flow inside the storage. The bamboo plait is the right material that choose in keeping the rice dry. The moisture condition is the thing that’s must be maintain very well for the rice, as the food security system this “krong Pade” is place out door, so the temperature inside the storage is still maintain.

Sistem keamanan pangan adalah masalah internasional yang dihadapi oleh setiap negara sejak lama. Setiap negara memiliki banyak sistem keamanan pangan yang berbeda. Salah satu sistem keamanan yang dibuat oleh leluhur Aceh disebut “krong Pade” penyimpanan beras dengan bentuk silinder terbuat dari anyaman bambu. Penyimpanan beras ditempatkan di panggung menengah dengan pilar. Di masa lalu setiap orang memiliki satu penyimpanan beras di setiap rumah sebagai tempat penyimpanan untuk menjaga pasokan makanan untuk keluarga. Sistem pertanian di masa lalu mengalami panen sekali dalam setahun karena sistem pertanian yang telah disepakati dengan sesepuh suku. Sistem ini memiliki keunggulan dalam menjaga tanah memiliki waktu untuk mempertahankan substansi tanah.
Tempat penyimpanan beras terbuat dari bahan anyaman bambu. Plat bambu digunakan untuk menjaga beras tetap kering, anyaman ini memiliki celah sehingga ada aliran udara di dalam penyimpanan beras. Dalam "kroeng Padee", suhu dikontrol oleh aliran udara yang mengalir di dalam penyimpanan. Anyaman bambu adalah bahan yang tepat untuk menjaga nasi tetap kering. Kondisi kelembaban adalah hal yang harus dijaga dengan baik untuk beras, karena sistem keamanan pangan “krong Pade” ini ditempatkan di luar pintu, sehingga suhu di dalam penyimpanan tetap terjaga.

The food security system is change by the time pass, and it is influence by the farming technology that develop rapidly, know days the harvesting time is done three times a year. The technology has advantage and disadvantage. The advantage from the development of farming technology can produce a huge of result of rice. The disadvantage of technology is brutally extract the soil substance due to the uses of chemical pesticide that’s why the farming product such as rice is impossible to keep in the long time in the storage.

Sistem ketahanan pangan diubah oleh waktu berlalu, dan itu dipengaruhi oleh teknologi pertanian yang berkembang pesat, tahu hari-hari waktu panen dilakukan tiga kali setahun. Teknologi memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Keuntungan dari pengembangan teknologi pertanian dapat menghasilkan hasil beras yang sangat besar. Kerugian teknologi secara brutal mengekstraksi substansi tanah karena penggunaan pestisida kimia itulah sebabnya produk pertanian seperti beras tidak dapat disimpan dalam waktu lama di penyimpanan.

The traditional food security system is the system that can be uses only for the rice that never contaminated by the chemical pesticide. And this past technology is impossible to utilize with the rice product knowdays. Every generation has the technology that’s appropriate to use in term of maintaining the food supply. Krong Padee is the past design of food security system that’s uses only for that era, and this is become the human history in design the food security supply for human being.

Sistem keamanan pangan traditional adalah sistem yang dapat digunakan hanya untuk beras yang tidak pernah terkontaminasi oleh pestisida kimia. Dan teknologi masa lalu ini tidak mungkin digunakan dengan produk beras hari ini. Setiap generasi memiliki teknologi yang tepat untuk digunakan dalam menjaga persediaan makanan. Krong Padee adalah rancangan sistem keamanan pangan masa lalu yang hanya digunakan untuk era itu, dan ini menjadi sejarah manusia dalam merancang pasokan keamanan pangan bagi manusia.
