It all starts when the begin cutting the egg cartons in half. $0.50 is a fine price for 6 eggs, but we all know what will happen in the future... $0.69... $0.89... $0.99 for that same half-dozen eggs.

Grocery stores play funny games! Once, our grocery dtore were selling 1 1/2 large eggs for well over $2 dollars. (My husbands thinks it may have even been $4) At the same time, the dozen large eggs were $0.99! And people were falling for it!
LOL, funny how that works! We see that big 18 egg box and think "good deal, big box of eggs for two and some change", when in reality it's almost $3. Marketing.
