Millions of Venezuelans say they have "survived" by sending remittances by family members living abroad

"I would like those people who are not from Venezuela to read this kind of publications, give us their support, the truth is that when we publish this type of publications we want to get to you and give you the best information of what is happening in Venezuela".

Cash has become, due to its scarcity, the most valuable payment method in the Venezuelan market. The prices of the products vary considerably, doubling and tripling their value depending on whether they are canceled with cash or at the point of sale.

In a tour that took place on Friday, September 14th, the El Universal team in several banks in Caracas, about the cancellation of the remaining 50% of pensions, found the confusion that older adults have about this process and the amount of cash money issued by banks.

María Cristina Varela indicated that "public banks give more money in cash than private banks". At the same time he said that cash can only be used to "pay for the passage, buy food like: coffee, eggs and vegetables".

He pointed out that in the Wholesale Car Market the prices of products per point of sale are extremely high compared to cash prices, reaching "double" prices.

María González, who has been pensioned by Social Security for more than 15 years, commented: "Today (Friday) I bought a kilogram of cheese for 90 bolivars (sovereign) in cash, at point 110, 120 (sovereign bolivars)."

Gonzalez said that stores located on Caracas Avenue, Panteón, "sell egg cartons at Bs.S. 120 knitted, and with cash at Bs.S. 76," and noted that he also uses paper money to cancel the bottle. gas that reaches your home. "It costs only three bolivars (sovereign), and it's economic," he said.

He also pointed out that he still does not adapt to the new monetary cone, and that he does not properly manage the home system or the Banco de Venezuela platform, a bank in which he owns his only bank account. "I only use the notebook and go to the box office," Gonzalez added.

Municipal Market of Catia, an economic place

Maria Ruiz, 56 years old, currently resides in the Sucre parish, specifically in the Catia sector. Every day he travels through the different shops located in Pérez Bonalde and Candelaria to get "cheaper" prices. However, in Colombia Street located in Catia and Perez Bonalde the prices are "quite accessible", according to his opinion.

"If I have cash, I buy half an egg carton at Bs.S 35, whereas if I pass it on a card, it's Bs.S 60, they practically take out twice as much," he said.

Ruiz, on the other hand, expressed concern about the high cost of medications. "They are very expensive, the pill for the tension costs Bs.S 33".

Sending remittances to "survive"

"I have a sister, but because of the problem with transactions (exchange houses) we did not do it, she sent me food, but she sent it to me and it lasted almost three months," said Ruiz, who has thought about emigrating in repeated occasions "I tell my son that I want to leave, but what about my house?"

He also emphasized the high level of malnutrition his grandchildren went through before emigrating. "I have grandchildren who took them to Colombia because they were dying of hunger, they are sons of my son who killed me, they have sent me pictures and they are fat," he said.

Due to the political, economic and social crisis that the oil nation is going through and the exodus of Venezuelans to other countries to seek a better quality of life, we have opted to send remittances to relatives who are still living in the country. to contribute, as much as possible, to mitigate economic shocks.

Jesús Rojas, pensioned by Social Security, said that "I am surviving for my daughter who lives in Argentina, she sends me money and with that I live."

For her part, María González indicated that she has a family member in Colombia who sends her money to pay for her expenses; However, he warned that the exchange house that acts as an intermediary "removes a high commission" for the shipment.

My Analysis and Personal Summary of the Publication

All the people in the World know very well the economic value that Gold has, we know very well that with Gold we can be almost Millionaires if we find a lot of Gold, in summary in all the countries of the world Gold has a lot of monetary value.

In Venezuela the cash (tickets), is practically Gold, which we mean by this, practically having cash in Venezuela is having a lot of money of its original value, unfortunately it is not easy to be able to get cash (banknotes) in the banks since the The government does not have the capacity to fill the banks with money, because of the great economic crisis that it lives and most importantly, the debt of 28 Billion Dollars that it has with the government of China.

The shortage of cash overwhelms Venezuelans in the midst of the most intense economic crisis they have experienced in its history. Obtaining tickets to pay for public transport, parking or buying food requires investing hours of waiting at banks or ATMs and even paying for them.

This situation has generated in Venezuelans a new alert that leaves in question this new decision of the government, which day after day does not get a solution to the economic problem of the country.

At this point, instead of issuing new banknotes, the Maduro government seems determined to force the passage of the entire society to advance the use of digital transactions.

Another problem that Venezuela has is that when a person goes out to buy some cheese or vegetables, there are 2 types of prices, for example: if we want to pay a kilo of cheese with cash, it costs us 100Bs.S (1 $), but if we want to pay per point of sale we get in 200Bs.S (2 $).

Yes, we get double the original price, this is because in Venezuela it is practically difficult to get cash.

I would like those people who are not from Venezuela to read this kind of publications, give us their support, the truth is that when we publish this type of publications we want to get to you and give you the best information of what is happening in Venezuela.
