Justice Dept Told Trump Syria Attacks Were ‘Legal’

As we know in April the United States launched a lot of missiles to multiple sites in Syria, the reason for this was a supposed chemical weapons attack.

The justice department told Trump before the attacks that this would be perfectly legal, so what we know is that Trump is pretty ignorant to the constitution and human rights which should be priority number one.

New documents are out on the matter that attacking Syria did not need congressional authority because it was in "national interest" and Syria was so unlikely to retaliate (because they have like no army) that it wasn't considered an act of war.

Basically it was in national interest to attack them, but they are not capable of attacking us??? hmmmm makes well no sense.

A lot of this argument centers on an interpretation of what war “in a constitutional sense” actually means. Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) said the legal argument was largely nonsense, and had tried to “redefine war to exclude missile attacks” to further usurp Congressional authority.

Which is crazy if bombing the shit out of a country is not an act of war then what the hell is? what setting foot in their country?

Several recent administrations have argued that presidents can carry out unilateral military attacks without Congressional authorization, and this is just the continuation of the Justice Department signing off on this as legal.

So I am sure we all know that we probably have hundreds if not thousands of military operations going on and we are not considered to be at war.

This has got some debate going about getting war power back into congressional hands where it was given in the first place, but most of the time you seen expansions of power not limiting power.

so whether you believe they will limit the presidents power is your thoughts, but I feel that we are already down the rabbit hole and the only way out is to go all the way to the other side.
