How Over Political Correctness is Ruining Movies & Series Part 1#
As you know by now i extremely love watching movies and series. Each Season i try to find a new gem to watch and entertain myself. I had no intentions of making a post about Political Correctness but when i finished watching Iron Fist season 2 yesterday, i was furious.
Then suddenly just random thoughts of different examples of how political correctness ruined everything popped into my head!
Before we start, note that i am not a person that read comics and stuff nor i can say i am long term dedicated fan of a certain hero. It just happens that since i was a kid i enjoined watching the superhero cartoons and later on i got into the superhero movies and series world. Still i haven't read a single comic!
What Is Political Correctness?
i will try to keep this as simple as i can. Political Correctness in essence is completely related-tied with the following:
Gender:
That means that not all women need the protection of a man in a movie nor they are completely useless. In other words women can have protagonist roles, be dynamic and do the same things as men. For instance we can see a movie or show were a woman can be a badass kicking ass, or a smart one that can solve mysterious cases.
Race:
That is tied to hiring actors of different race to play in the movies. There was an era that the actors were only white and later depending on the race there were some stereotypes that blacks or Chinese portrait. For example blacks died first or were criminals and all Chinese knew Kung Fu
Sexuality:
That as it suggests is tied with showing in the movies and shows gay-lesbian-trans people and relationships between them.
What Movies & Series Ruined By The Political Corecteness ?
We live in an era that everything we say can be sound racist in the ears of the stupid ones that live among us and sadly there are many. Because of them the companies behind the movie industry thought they can make more money and they can gather more audience if they "listen to them"
As such we had many attempts with movies and series have this traits. The majority of them had a decent future but then they made the mistake to make a step forward into the world of famous characters of comic and old movies. Let me give you some examples:
James Bond or Jane Bond?
That isn't a joke, it's true! For a period of time they thought of doing a James bond film played by a woman. Later on and because people basically said a big "screw you" they let it go but came back a couple of months ago saying they gonna make a James Bond movies played by a black actor...........

Fantastic Four 2015
The majority of the fantastic four film lead to a failure due to bad acting and bad CGI but this film was a special case. The actor that played the "Human Torch", the superhero that completely turns himself into flames played by a black actor! (Michael B Jordan). In fact i like that particular actor in some other movies but this one was a total failure. Imagine that the total rating in IMDb were 4.3/10 in other words a disaster.
Daredevil 2003
In that film which ofc ended up as a disaster, although it wasn't only due to political correctness had Wilson Fisk or The Kingpin played once again by a black actor called Michael Clarke Duncan. Once again i love that actor especially in the Green mile i think we was awesome.
Because this post ended up being a bit big and imagine that i have to write way more (around twice as big as this) i think i should stop for today. Tomorrow, i will present more movies and series and i will tell the reason as to why this whole thing ruins those films & shows and in a way the actors and directors too. Also i will provide my suggestions that may lead to a solution.

Personally, I would not call these picks to be political correctness.... Just idiotic attempts to jump on the equality bandwagon for purely marketing and 'appeal' purposes. I really don't think that the people that made these particular choices for casting were thinking about anything more than marketing and money.... Nothing ideological.
yep i agree that's why i said "overuse of political correctness" it's not what pc is actually about just to make money and please a specific audience and ofc everything backfired. The sad fact is that this is continue to be a thing and in extremely popular films-series.
Also a bunch of people will call these political correctness even the director of fantastic four went out and talked about human torch and why should be black and supported it! The thing is that nowadays we have taken the terminology of everything (like political correctness, racism, violence, gay) etc etc and completely ruined and altered the meaning

The thing I hate most about political correctness is that Greek people are basically nothing.

Where's the Greek Star Wars space pilot?
The assholes throw Greek people into the "White" basket and pretend we don't exist. That's real racism right there.
Same with Filipinos, we just get bunched up with Chinese, Japanese and Koreans labeling us all stereotypical "Asians"

Yknow what i find the most ironic part about these people. They support minorities. But then they see asians as white too LOL
Also if any TV shows tried to do those political correctness shit. There are still more people whod say "oh you didnt do it right you racist" LOL welp. Atleast thats my expirience with it. Im just sick of politics man. Thanks for reading idk
