I confess that I want freedom for my nation

During our republican history, Venezuela sheltered the emigrants who arrived to our land, now we have to emigrate. In these moments our families are disintegrated, hurt. our Venezuelan citizens go with excellent university preparation.

It is very sad to flee from your country and leave behind your family, your friends, your memories, your neighbors, your habits. But, the current situation is forcing us to get out of the soil that saw us born, that saw us grow and today does not give us any opportunity. The lack of medicine, the lack of food and the inefficiency of the government in all areas of human life, forces Venezuelans to leave. There are very sad sad stories of Venezuelan rafters fleeing to the Caribbean island, where they have to jump from the boats at a distance from the shore and swim long stretches in total darkness, risking their lives in order to get out of their country, some have died in his desperate attempt, and in neighboring countries there are programs to serve them as refugees, just need to create isolated camps to give us the status of the United Nations for refugees.

As a Venezuelan, friend of those who have been forced to emigrate forced by the hardships of everyday life, I confess that here we suffer and that they are worsened by the bad policies of the regime, I am overwhelmed by an immense sadness to know that a Venezuelan has left.

I have heard several anecdotes from parishioners who have met other Venezuelans abroad, working in precarious conditions despite their high degree of university preparation, lawyers, doctors, engineers, graduates, professionals of all knowledge specializations including doctorates, washing cars, scrubbing public toilets, gardeners, drivers, working in any activity to earn a living in strange lands, we know that no work dishonors, all work dignifies the human being, but where is the sacrifice of thousands of hours of study in the preparation of those Venezuelans ?, Where is the investment in the preparation of these countrymen ?, We have an immense drain of talents of the highest quality. We Venezuelans must not emigrate, we must change the government, we must change the system, we must change the sad reality in order to overcome this social and family tragedy, sooner or later we will open our borders to receive our brothers who have forcibly emigrated.

Forced migration is a crime against humanity, imputable to the current rulers, no one should leave the soil that saw it born, Venezuela belongs to all of us who were born in it, not the communists, corrupt and vandals who govern us. Democrats have projects that will change the history of the country, we do not intend to return to the past, much less stay in the sad present, we project the best future for the nation and for all Venezuelans, fight united for our freedom.
