A supposed anonymous group was pronounced through the social networks to adjudicate the authorship of the "Operation Phoenix", the name with which they have identified the attack recorded hours earlier against the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, which emerged unscathed.

In a Twitter account called "Flannel Soldiers" there have been photographs and videos of the moment when the incident occurred, when Maduro headed an act for the 81 anniversary of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB, militarized police) in the center of Caracas.

The group of Flannel soldiers is known in Venezuela because it was composed by Óscar Pérez, the former policeman who was relieved against the mature regime in the middle of 2017 leading attacks to government buildings and military bases and who died in an ambush of forces Chavistas last January 15th.
