Conservatives are THE TRULY SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS. Liberals are the true HEARTLESS.

There, I said it. I am so tired of hearing how "Christians" need to be liberal in order to be "good Christians," or how conservatives are cold and heartless. The opposite is the truth, at least with regard to actual outcomes.

Liberals clamoring for "help" for the poor (and the lazy) always leads to more and more power to government, and "help" programs that are ineffective, that engender lethargy (and permanent destitution,) and that squelch effort, initiative and the good health needed to succeed. Government handouts are SEIZED from productive and redistributed to the non-productive (and I am not talking about the few truly needy and/or disabled here.)

Government handouts supplanting private charity is debilitating both for the recipient and the displaced donor. When people get food stamps (that they can spend on all manner of unhealthy CRAP) instead of healthy food from a food pantry or from a donor family, they make themselves sicker, AND they insulate themselves from a desire to not be a burden on others. Potential donors are robbed by the state of both the ability and the blessings of being a donor.

Liberals must, by definition, clamor for evermore costly aspects of the basic costs of life to be "given out" by government. This increases the size and power of government, yes, but it also directly reduces the existence of, and prospects for, a prosperous and patriotic middle (yeoman) class of citizens driven by profit motives for ever-increasing efforts toward success and prosperity. The end result is gross wealth inequities EXACERBATED by the very people who constantly rail against those very inequities.

We were never promised that all men WOULD BE EQUAL, only that they were created with the potential to be that way, AND the opportunity to become that way.

Liberals insist that all men must be equal, but they don't really mean it. They always reserve exceptions for themselves, as necessary "managers/administrators," "experts," and "professionals" toward whom the public must bow and accede in all facets of life. In other words, LIBERALS are bringing in (wittingly, or no) a CRUSHING, TOTALITARIAN POLICE AND SURVEILLANCE STATE that is totally heartless, ala those created by their former heroes in the Old Soviet Union, China and Cuba.

THIS IS A GLOBAL POLICE STATE FROM WHICH THERE WILL BE NO RESPITE OR ESCAPE. That is the ultimate HEARTLESS cruelty, and the liberals are bringing that into being while pretending to have a "social conscious" lacking in their ideological/intellectual superiors in the conservative world.
