"No greater love hath any man than this, that he would lay down his life for another,"....EXCEPT IN FRANCE.

French hero cop Arnaud Beltrame who entered a supermarket back in March after receiving an emergency call in the French town of Trebes is a WORLD HERO who willingly traded his life for that of a cashier who faced imminent death from an Islamic radical. But he will NOT be recognized as the hero he is by the City. This is such a sad commentary on the extent of political correctness, globally, but especially in France.

“Leftist elected officials, socialist and communist, refused that a place in the 15th district be named after Arnaud Beltrame, in the first time, they’ve said, under fallacious pretext, that this place wasn’t prestigious enough, before telling the truth in these terms: we are on the field, we witnessed that the population has changed and if we give the name of Arnaud Beltrame in this district, the population will take that as a provocation”.

Translation: There are now too many Muslim immigrants in the area, and we are not going to honor this hero for fear of offending them. Now, I DOUBT there are enough radical Wahhabists in the area, or that those Muslims in the area would be offended by honoring a man such as Beltrame who saved an innocent woman by sacrificing his own life. To suggest such a thing is RACIST in and of itself, something these "local leaders" are pretending NOT to be. But, the sadder thing here is the degree to which these leftist politicians bend over backward for BOGUS purposes.

Political correctness has many faces, no doubt about it, but this is one of the ugliest of them all.

Vive la memoire de Beltrame! I hope, somehow, saner heads within France will find an appropriate way to honor such compelling and rare heroism, despite what those local idiots have decided.
