If people were not so greedy, and wanting what others produce, we would be fine, but we sadly are to Human to handle our greed! May GOD forgive us....

Breed is a very bad habit maybe the problem to alot of issues in the world, even in the steemisfere. A bit is not the problem but alot off people have to much ego and gered thats a bad combo
It looks to me that greed was a large component of the Hard Fork here. It was supposed to help new accounts, or at least that was the justification for the change.
Then those responsible started talking about new accounts buying in, and they began cashing out. Due to this greed, the steem dollar dropped by half, and has not recovered thus far.
Time will tell on steem....
