Some Political Opinions From Christopher Langan, Man with a ~200 IQ

in #informtionwar6 years ago

Have you ever heard of Christopher Langan? I wish I had a lot earlier.

Here he is:

According to Wikipedia,

Christopher Michael Langan (born March 25, 1952) is an American whose IQ was reportedly estimated[by whom?] to be "between 190 and 210". In Morris 2001, Langan relates that he took what was billed as "the world's most difficult IQ test" in Omni magazine, and he gives his IQ as "somewhere between 190 and 210". As a result of his score, he has been described as "the smartest man in America" as well as "the smartest man in the world" by some journalists.

From what I can make out on that page, the man seems to be a Christian as well. Langan also has his own metaphysical cosmology or "theory of everything" called Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe" (CTMU).

The CMTU has a Facebook Page here.

Anyway, I someone Tweeted out the below and I've found these other interesting screencaps too:

If I had Facebook, I'd be following him and his page.

Cheers!

I wrote an old post called

"Healing from the StockHolme's Syndrome = Dunning-Kruger effect / using Neural Plastisity of the brain.".

My researched revealed to me that the Dunning-Kruger effect is not people thinking that they are smarter than they are though I am sure there is a lot of that going on. The effect is actually thinking that there are people who you are smarter than. In studying the StockHolme's Syndrome I was able to match the chemicals produced by the brain by stock Holmes syndromes victims to the so called higher intelligent people who think most of the rest of the population is of lower intelligence.

It is an effect produced by the high of all the hormones keeping the poison called adrenaline from killing you. The side effects is a chemical confidence created because of the low level of constant adrenaline, which is a natural speed. You need that confidence to help you survive the captivity. Sad really.

Your post is awesome.

My point is that we often believe things based on false perceptions of what the data means. Most of the time we think someone is smarter than us because someone who should know said so. Testimony is not and never has been evidence. Someone with an I.Q of 90 could have come up with everything Christopher Langan said. Koko might have been able to too. Just an opinion, but really nothing he said was super intelligent. Just observant. Like your post.
