Scales like a fish

We typically don't think of moth's as scaly yet these next couple of pic's reveal some intricate details.

This close up we can discern scales and hairs.

At the wing tip we find the scales are modified to be almost feathery.

So its almost as if this moth has scales like a fish, hair like a mammal and feathers like a bird to go along with its exoskeleton.
