Baking Soda FTW

I've read many life hacks, and I recently notice that baking soda really do have many usages beside of cooking. So I decided to look for other ways of baking soda to help me. And I found many!

Sodium Bicarbonate, the "official term" for baking soda, actually helps regulate pH. Mix it with with acid or alkaline substance and baking soda will have a neutralizing effect on it. this character of baking soda gives it many uses. And to top it all off, its cheap! Easy to find, you can get them anywhere. Get it at the nearby store.

Here are some of my favorite

Insect Bites

Insect bites could really be annoying. You scratch once, and suddenly you just can't stop scratching. Here's a little secret, baking soda! Relieve insect bites by making a simple paste of water and baking soda. Apply the paste you made onto affected skin.

Relieve Skin Irritation

Well, this one only works if you have a tub in your house. So if you're more of a shower person, keep scrolling. You just have to add a cup of baking soda to bathwater. And it instantly soften your skin and relieve skin irritation after bath.

Get Clean Brushes and Combs

Baking soda is naturally good at helping remove oils, build up, and residue on you brushes and combs. When you want to get them cleaned, you can just prepare a cup of water (or a bowl, so you can clean many brushes at once), and put in 1 tsp of baking soda for every cup of water. Rinse and dry thoroughly and you will have clean brushes and combs.

Keep Flower Fresher, Longer

If you like to keep freshly cut flowers at home, keep them fresh longer with baking soda. Simply put in 1 teaspoon of baking soda into the vase. Don't forget to add water!

Cut Grease From Your Dish

You know baking soda is great at removing oils. Add a heaping scoop of baking soda to your usual dish soap. Let them soak for a moment. Stir a little bit, and use it as you would normally do. Baking soda helps cut grease and makes it easier to clean.

Those are some of my favorite uses of baking soda, or you can call it Sodium Bicarbonate. Those uses could probably help you in your day-to-day tasks, and actually baking soda also take part in some health care DIY. But we should talk about that in another time.
