Price cut for Intel Core CPUs, as an anti-Ryzen maneuver

in #intel5 years ago

The debut of the third-generation AMD Ryzen processors is now a matter of a few weeks: these CPUs, built with 7-nanometer production technology from next 7 July, will officially make their debut on the market and position themselves as a new alternative to the Intel Core processors of the ninth generation.

The peculiarity of Ryzen's latest third-generation CPUs is to deliver a greater amount of cores than the respective Intel offers, with the plus provided by 7-nanometer manufacturing technology ensuring elevated clock frequencies with low energy consumption.

Intel was able to react to the introduction of the fresh Ryzen 3000 processors by reducing the lists of its core designs of ninth generation. This eventuality is reported by Asian site Digitimes, reporting as sources to Asian motherboard producers.

In a market where Intel CPUs are always offered at prices that are on average very stable over time, there is talk of reductions between 10 percent and 15 percent, absolutely not very high values but still interesting. These steps should affect the Intel Core CPUs and will compete directly with the fresh Ryzen 3000 CPUs: this is why we are speaking about the Core i9-9900 K, Core i7-9700 K and Core i5-9600 K models.
