RE: How to reverse search an image (and find out if someone is a con-artist or a porn star 😁)...

Facial recognition is a bit of a double-edged sword. It's useful for so many things that are good, e.g. detecting fraudsters/catfishers/users with malicious intent, and yet it's also creepy. For example, did you know casinos often utilise facial recognition via their CCTV to analyse player's habits and figure out ways of wrenching more money out of people?

We live in a data age. In many ways that's great, but in others, well, I hope you don't put too much value on yourself. Your data self could be worth as little as $150.

Sort:

Yeah, I know a little about casino security...
And security cameras and such, don't want to post too many paranoid articles about such things here though...

My data self? Please do explain what do you mean @ictman1076?

And thanks for your input it's appreciated!

Your "data self" is a phrase that I stole from an advert - it's basically you, but represented by data. Your name, details, interests, personality traits, and more, stored in a database for easy searching and targeting.
I suppose a better name for it is the Database of You.

Yeah, my data is basically worthless, completely insignificant,
nothing interesting here, move along,
these are not the droids you're looking for... 😇
