## New Series!!

I am very excited to be introducing a brand new series called ”Nintanime” where I talk about similarities and differences between Nintendo and anime. Without further adieu let’s get started. Today's topic will be about the dark continent and breath of the wild. The dark continent is an arc (compilation of chapters) from the anime Hunter x Hunter. It is said that the world of hunter x hunter is actually a small part of the dark continent. The map is crazy take a look below.

That blue ocean with the continents on it is the entire world of hunter x hunter. And the rest of the world beyond is the dark continent. Once a group of people set out to explore the dark continent and almost all were slaughtered. It is said that the conditions and wildlife are too harsh for humans to withstand. Only 0.001% of the expedition came back alive.

This brings me to Zelda breath of the wild. This game’s enemies are hard, I mean really hard. And the environment is unforgiving. Just a single enemy can take you out in 2 or 3 hits and many of the more powerful enemies can kill you in just one hit. The weather is also extreme ranging from extreme heat, dry desert-like conditions, and freezing cold. If you don’t prepare yourself with the right clothes you will die in the game. And the only way to restore your health in the game is to go around collecting food or hunting animals. Truly a game where it’s the player against nature and I have died many many times in my first playthrough of the game. That’s why I love it though because of the difficulty.

What they both have in common is that life can be a cruel mistress. Very unforgiving and not fair, sometimes you are dealt a bad hand in life but you have to play the cards you have because you can’t change them. It’s how we go about using what we have and being adaptable to conditions that we end up winning in this game called life. Make no mistake about it though if you take life casually you will end up with many casualties and the biggest one will be regret. So go out into this dark continent and explore the wilderness, make every step count until your last breath.
