Hello, Adam, and Welcome to Steemit.

It sounds like you have plenty of great work to post on Steemit. Looking forward to seeing more of what you already gave a hint of.

Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.

  1. Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 10–20 photographs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
  2. Include some text to complement the photos. Anything from background info about the subject, to technical details about the camera or the photo, or even anything about your overall technique. As long as you have a fine balance between images and text, you'll get a better response.
  3. Ensure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
  4. Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
  5. Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.

Last but not least – Here's a link to a recent post I made re ENLARGING photos and images on the Steemit platform.

https://steemit.com/photography/@majes.tytyty/how-to-click-to-enlarge-photo-or-create-a-click-for-full-screen-link-in-12-clear-and-easy-steps

I noticed a few Steemians use this function, and it took my a while to figure out how to do it. Since any photos and images posted on Steemit appear rathe small in the posts, this is an essential feature for those who post art, photography, graphics, etc.

Hope this helps for now. Good luck, and Full Steem Ahead!

Hi majes.tytyty, thank you so much for the welcome and a bigger thanks for the advice. I really appreciate that. I'll definitely take these tips on board as they make a lot of sense. I've certainly noticed a lot of "shitposts"already, but plenty of great ones also. See you around!

Yep, there's lots of great material on this site. It aint no Facebook!
