Hello, Have I Wanderlusted Too Far?

Hi!

This is my first post. I am really excited to be here, and I have a bunch to say.

• I write things. Stories, plays, essays, weird not-quite poetry, journally introspection. I love it. It's how I process the world and myself. And now I can put it all here!

• Two years ago, I wrote a play about an abusive relationship. That play ended up getting performed in New York City, and then in DC's Capital Fringe Festival. It was the most surreal experience of my life. And not just because my loved ones sat in a room and listened to actors scream out sex jokes I'd written while in pain.

• Two days ago, I got a call about a job I had applied to that seemed exciting, and that would require me to uproot my entire life and move to New York City.

• They asked me if I could come into the office on Friday morning.

• I just finished booking my hotel and train tickets for a manic day trip to NYC and back to DC for Friday. In the span of two days, it feels like everything is being flipped upside down.

• But I've lived in the same place for 10 years... so maybe it's exciting.
