i wonder why the new people on Steemit are estimated 99% Indian?
As far as I know 5.54% of Steemit traffic comes from India.

Dear Indian friends, is Steemit such a big hype in your country? Would love to hear why the platform gets so many new Indian bloggers! :)
may be their accounts get approved faster...haha...

Maybe you are right, haha ... or cause there are over a billion Indians ? ;)
there are over a billion chinese as well..but cant find them much over here..
right cause if they blog against the government ... they get penalties i guess. But on the other hand exactly this is the advantage on steemit: getting anonymous.
Do they actually get penalties?
They got that new point system where you get points for "good activities" and lose points for bad ones like not following the authority's advice. Censorship everywhere. With a few points you won't get a credit for a house or your children and have to pay higher bills. Often you need a certain level of points to get to the next job level.
This sounds a hard place to live in..
