IA que ayuda a detectar las infecciones urinarias
Una nueva inteligencia artificial (IA) desarrollada en la Universidad de Surrey puede identificar y ayudar a reducir una de las principales causas de hospitalización para las personas que viven con demencia: las infecciones del tracto urinario (ITU).
La ITU es una infección de cualquier parte del sistema urinario, desde los riñones hasta la vejiga. Los síntomas incluyen dolor en la parte inferior del estómago, sangre en la orina, necesidad de orinar repentinamente o con mayor frecuencia de lo habitual, y cambios en el estado de ánimo y el comportamiento.
Utilizando un sistema llamado factorización matricial no negativa realizaron una serie de algoritmos que junto a los datos recopilados por sensores remotos, sistemas IoT y datos recopilados clínicamente junto a un sistema de aprendizaje automático, han ayudado a identificar y ayudar a reducir una de las principales causas de hospitalización de personas con demencia e infección urinaria.
