Introduce Myself

Hello Stemians…

Let me introduce myself. My name is Nir Fathiya. You can call me Tya. I am from Lhokseumawe, one of the municipalities in Aceh Province, Indonesia. Several years ago, my hometown was known as petrodollar city because many foreign investors came to build their businesses. It is one of the largest industrial regions in Sumatra. There were several large factories in Lhokseumawe, i.e. PT. Arun, PIM, AAF, and KKA. My city was also known as the largest natural gas production city from 1970s to 1980s. Currently, the local government is developing tourism sector to increase local revenue and attract the tourists. If you come to my hometown, you can visit several beaches such as Ujong Blang beach, Pulo Seumadu, Jambo, Rancong; Pusong and Jeulikat reservoir; Goa Jepang (Japanese cave) on the hill; and Islamic center.

I just completed my master's degree at Magister Biology, Syiah Kuala University. My research is focused on forest genetic in Leuser Ecosystem. I am interested in Ecology and Molecular especially about plant in lowland forest. I have published my paper research about Dipterocarpaceae on several journals. I am a nature lover, I love to take some pictures of nature. I also love drawing like doodle art and hand lettering. Sometimes, I spend my leisure time by drawing, watching movies, doing math riddle, and singing.

I am a newbie on steemit. Actually, I have been writing since I was junior high school such as short stories, fairy tales, and novels. Unfortunately, they are still on my book and I never shared or published them. I wrote them by handwriting because I couldn’t stand in front of a computer for long hours. I really want to increase my writing skill, so I believe that Steemit can help me to write regularly.
