Finally

Hello, Steemit!

I'm Gab, currently studying Bachelor of Science in Psychology as a freshman. I discovered Steemit when our Teacher in Creative Non-fiction Writing back in Senior High School told us about it and encouraged us to try it out to expand our knowledge while at the same time earning a tad bit of money through writing. I was at awe upon knowing that such thing is possible, which is why the very first thing I did when I got home that day was rush towards my room, turn on my laptop and check steemit and what's it about. Upon lurking briefly at the posts here, I was convinced that this would be a good thing for me and thus, I registered and for some reasons which I will explain in the next paragraph, I was only able to join Steemit right at this moment today July 6, 2018.

I wasn't expecting that I had to wait for a few days to be fully registered and this fact made me lose all of the motivation pent up in me. I got discouraged but I still wanted to try this out so I checked my email every single day. 2 weeks passed and I still did not received any confirmation email,3 weeks still none, 4 weeks still none and a month has passed and I still did not receive any confirmation email. Then finally, I received a confirmation email but it's already March and I registered around January. I forgot my username already so I looked up information about how to recover steemit usernames and found out that it's a lost cause. I tried to log in with all the username that I could think of but none of them were successful and after 3 days of guessing games, I gave up.

One night my head was full of thoughts about what is happening in my life and country be it politics, societal problems, relationships and culture. I got fed up and woke up at around 2-3 AM midnight to register to steemit once again hoping that I can vent out these thoughts that has been circling in my mind. And here am I, 2 weeks after that fateful midnight, I finally got to register here and given the opportunity to vent out my frustrations through writing.
